Kevin Langston

In his role as the leader of Georgia Tourism, Kevin and his team work to position and sell Georgia as a top leisure travel destination. He oversees the product development, business development, regional and international staff, and visitor information center teams, and works with the Department's marketing and communications division to implement Georgia's tourism marketing program.
Mr. Langston returned to the tourism division in 2007 after serving in the agency's Global Commerce division as director of international operations, managing the state's offices in ten locations around the world.
Mr. Langston previously served as assistant deputy commissioner for the tourism division. He has also previously served as director of communications for the agency and in a number of roles in the department's international trade division.
He has a diverse background and skill set encompassing many aspects of economic development, tourism and marketing. Originally from northeast Missouri, Mr. Langston graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgia State University.
Kevin currently serves as chair of the National Council of State Tourism Directors. He also serves on the board of directors of Travel South USA, and is the chair of their international committee. He also serves on the board of the Georgia Humanities Council. Kevin is an active member of the Georgia Economic Developers Association and is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional (CEDFP).
