Coffee Connection Spotlight — Norcross Police Department

The City of Norcross constructed a new 42,252-square-foot Public Safety Building that will serve as the future home of the Norcross Police Department and Municipal Court, located at the corner of Buford Highway and Stevens Road, on the site of the former Norcross Library. The project has been years in the making and marks a major step forward for the growing city, which has nearly doubled in size since 2011 with a population now exceeding 18,000.
The state-of-the-art facility features a 2,600-square-foot community room, a 2,600-square-foot courtroom, a 1,600-square-foot Real Time Crime Center, an 850-square-foot fitness center, and a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/Defense Tactics training studio for officer training. The building also includes expanded space for mental health services, training rooms, and a flexible multipurpose indoor-outdoor gathering space for public events, meetings, recreational activities, and a basketball court — reflecting the city's goal of creating a welcoming civic hub that echoes the community's character.
