About the Speaker
Dr. D. Glen Cannon began his service as president of Gwinnett Technical College in 2014. He is the third president of the college founded in 1984. He earned a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from West Georgia College, an M.B.A. from Mercer University’s Stetson School of Business, and his doctorate in Occupational Studies from the University of Georgia. He is also a licensed C.P.A in the state of Georgia. Prior to assuming the presidency at Gwinnett Tech he was the president at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City, Alabama. His experience includes over forty years in finance and operations with colleges in the state of Georgia. Gwinnett Technical College serves over 23,000 students across all program platforms each academic year. The college has locations in Fulton and Gwinnett, the two largest counties in Georgia, and is the largest two-year college in Georgia.
