Volunteer at Summerour Middle School's Mock Interview Fair
with Southwest Gwinnett Chamber!
We are seeking Business professionals who are willing to interview and rate students' performances using a supplied questionnaire and scoring rubric .
Additional Information for Interviews
- Students will bring a resume and a rating sheet to the interview. Interview them for the “Job Objective” listed on their resume. Pretend you have an opening in this field.
- Each interview should last 5 – 8 minutes.
- Students have been instructed on the proper dress for an interview.
- Keep their resumes and rating sheets. Stack them on the table and they will be collected to be returned to the student. Feel free to write on the resume.
- In your interviewer’s folder you will find:
- Suggested interview questions
- A sample “Rating Sheet” (the student will bring the form to the interview)
- In regards to your feedback, please keep in mind these are 8th grade middle school students that you are interviewing.
- Please try to make a least one positive comment and at least one way in which they could improve next time in an interview.
- You can make comments verbally or write them on the Rating Sheet.
- Evaluation form on the Mock Interview Fair (your feedback on the event)
